Home Learning for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. 

 

Each class was sent home with a pack of activities to get on with. In addition please explore the following. 

 

 

Do send us pictures of the creative work you are doing at home - either via email (see the creative idea pack idea for the email address to use) or upload it to your google classroom. We will be posting a selection of the best work on the whole school blog and the school twitter account.

 

READING: Please make sure you read every day - get your child to read to you and you can read to your child. 

 

WRITING: Get creative - can you keep a diary, write some letters, stories or poems. 

 

MATHS: Practice your times tables. How fluent are you? Don't forget division facts. 

 

ONLINE LEARNING:  Sam, Ekram, Frank and Merryn will be setting you tasks using a range of online resources. Look on your personal logins letter to see which one your teacher is using. 

 

 

Teachers will be posting some activities and tasks on Google Classroom for the children to complete.  Children have used this in school and should be familiar with it.  

If children are accessing google classroom on a tablet or phone then you may need to download the google classroom app from your app store. 

If you are accessing it on a pc or laptop then just visit: https://classroom.google.com

Children will need to log in using their username and password: 

Check for new activities on a regular basis. 

PIXL Apps

Please download the following apps –

PiXL TT – This is to help your pupils practice their timetables,

PiXL Vocabulary – This will help your pupils develop their spelling and vocabulary skills.

These apps are user friendly and have different games and activities for the children to work through. Emma will be able to log on and see how the children are progressing and how many points they have achieved. You will need the school username as well as your child’s individual logon details.

Your teachers will be selecting learning tasks and activities for the children using an educational platform called studyladder. Simply go to www.studyladder.co.uk and login using your child’s school username and password.

The free version allows students to access all the activities during school hours and 3 activities per day during out of school hours.

There are many fun and educational activities that children can access through lgfl busy things.

We have free access to this website through London Grid for Learning.

Simply go to https://www.busythings.co.uk/lgfl-login/    and log in using your child’s lgfl  username and password.
