Year 6 Go off to Suffolk!
Year 6 class of 2015 are the the 21st year group to go on School Journey for 4 days to Suffolk! I recall the first school journey Hague went on in 1994! It's such a memorable experience. The children love the train journey to Ipswich, shelter building in Rendlesham Forest, staying in the Youth Hostel at Blaxhall, sleeping in dorms with friends and seeing the night stars on a night walk. It's a really important tradition for all our Year 6 pupils to experience. It helps them with so much of their learning this year, science, geography, knowledge and understanding of the country side and writing skills. But just as importantly it helps the children to be more independent and grow in confidence as they try new experiences and meet people who live and work in the countryside. I look forward to hearing all the news. The visit is partially sponsored by a charity called, 'Country Trust'. Huge 'thank-you' to the Country Trust Volunteers who make the visit such fun.
