Tower Hamlets School Streets Survey
As you know it has taken many years for us to get LA support for calming the traffic in Finnis Street and pollution reduction measures by tree planting.
We are particularly hoping that support for the plans will mean that the corner of Finis Street where children
and families cross will be much safer for everyone.
Proposed changes
2 parking bays will be removed to create a safer crossing on Finnis Street and 2 parking bays removed on Wilmot Street to create a safer crossing space between the park side and school side of the street.
Traffic enforcement camera on Wilmot Street and Finnis Street Junction
Speed cushions on Wilmot Street to slow the traffic.
1 way entry to Finnis Street from Wilmot Street except cyclists.
Pedestrian & Cycle Zone Mon - Friday 8:15 - 9:15am and 3-4pm except for residents, businesses, blue badge holders,
School Transport and staff permit holders.
