Hague pupils travel the world - virtually!

Today all key stage 2 pupils had the amazing opportunity to go on virtual field trips using google cardboard virtual reality viewers. Andrew from the Google Expeditions Pioneer Program brought the equipment into school and taught teachers how to lead expeditions. Children looked into the viewers and suddenly found themselves in Tanzania, a rain-forest, Mount Everest, under the sea or even floating in Space!!! The enthusiasm of the children was fantastic to see. Visit the year 3, 4, 5 and 6 blogs to see how they reacted.

You can explore some of the places we visited by downloading the Google

Expeditions app to your mobile phone or tablet. We now have 14 of the headsets in school that work with mobile phones and hope to be running parent workshops soon to show you how to use the technology at home with your children (over 7 years only for the headsets). After the session we hope to be able to lend out the headsets for you to use. Watch this space.
